German Roaches and Termites

Rent is priced nicely! But there are some heavy caveats, including competitive street parking, pest issues, and building security.

As of fall 2020, 727 S Mansfield Ave has a termite and German roach problem. German roaches are the kind that live in your walls. It doesn't matter if you're clean or dirty. My neighbor and I both had roaches, and i'm sure they were in the rest of the building. The only way to completely get rid of them is to have every unit sprayed, but that hasn't happened. My… unit had fly, beetle, roach, and ant appearances over the years. It didn't matter how much I cleaned.

Security is also questionable. People are constantly jiggling at the front door's doorknob, aggressively trying to open it. My neighbor had his car keys stolen and then his car. The mailboxes were broken into twice until management installed a security camera. It's not a dangerous neighborhood, but these things happened.

Some good perks, but more cons than anything

I lived here for just a little over a year and by the end of it, I was so done. I'll start by saying my neighbors were at least quiet and courteous - there really is no partying of the sort in this building. However, that might be due to the fact that the apartments are tiny! Very, very small space. There is a large bathroom and closet, but truthfully I wouldn't have minded both being sacrificed for a bigger kitchen. You will never eat at home, it is not even worth attempting to cook in this… place. That being said, it serves the purpose for anyone who doesn't make a ton. No parking as well and street parking is tough. The kicker though is that there is construction right next door and it is LOUD!
