Convenience & Proximity to everything you need.
The building is sandwiched in between three other student housing buildings, so the area feels busy and safe. The building is two blocks from USC and the village, Target and Trader Joe’s. It’s in close proximity to restaurants and fast food joints. The building is relatively quiet for a college crowd, but then again it’s next to Greek row so there’s a party vibe nearby every week. There’s ample parking on the streets if you don’t want to park inside the building. The swimming pool is... cleaned weekly. I love the passcode access-only mail room for large packages!!! The maintenance guy lives on site, so there’s fast repairs. Other external things there’s a USC ambassador posted outside the building. The campus shuttle has a stop outside the building and the Metro light rail is two blocks away. It’s good so far.

The worst living experience of my life
Literally the worst living experience of my whole life. The landlord bombarded me with text messages at all hours (constantly adding “new lease updates” and saying to respond to message to agree) until I demanded she only contact me through email. Even then she was so rude about everything.
As for the disgusting apartment: Sinks would fill up from the drain and be covered in facial hair from my neighbors. If I ran a bath, the water would leak to the garage below. When I asked how this problem... could be fixed, she told me “it is fixed when you don’t run a bath”. They eventually ended up fixing it after I kept pushing and pretended it was routine maintenance. When the heat appeared not to work (temperature dropped into the 40s/50s at night in winter), I was told that the building is too old and they can’t fix it but could buy me a small space heater if I really wanted it. Everything broke all the time. They literally have NEVER changed the wall A/C filter, when I asked where I could even buy a replacement filter, I found out the wall unit is 20 years old therefore they don’t even sell the model anymore. The whole building smells like body odor and neighbors are out talking on their phones at all ours of the night (right outside my door).
AND MY CAR WAS BROKEN INTO inside the “secure lot”. When the police came, they noticed that the “security cameras” aren’t even pointing at the entrances or facing half the cars. The doors are faulty and have big holes (police thought Thats how the thief came in).
DO NOT move here I regretted it for the whole year until I finally made it out.
