Don’t move here
Lived here a year. The place is infested with roaches, which they didn’t tell me before I moved in. There is no ac and the windows don’t allow for window units or easy ventilation for portable units. so it would be 100+ degrees in my apartment in the summer time. management doesn’t care about anything. the maintenance team is great if you reach out to them directly about an issue in your room, but when it comes to building-wide stuff, nothing ever gets done. there was a severed key stuck in the... front gate lock for three months. don’t know if it ever got fixed. No one ever reached out in the last month of my lease to see if I was resigning. Most packages I ordered to the building got stolen. I always had to stay with friends/pay for hotels in the summer to get a good night’s rest and send packages to friends’ houses as well. i payed a ridiculous amount to live here and then i regularly had to pay to stay other places?? nah, fam. new management literally only cares about making the garden look nice. if you want to be somewhere livable, do not move here.

Nice apartment with one thing BUGGING us.
Our apartment is decent size for a studio, the price seems fair as well. The on site manager is helpful and incredibly sweet. Overall it's not fancy but not bad.
The main issue is we've had cockroaches since the first week we've moved in. They have put the gel down in the bathroom in kitchens... that didn't work... Then they sprayed the apartment... that didn't work... then they sprayed again. We didn't see them for a week and now we are slowly starting to see 1/day. It's really annoying and... incredibly stressful. It's caused a ton of anxiety for me and I won't go into the kitchen at night. I'm still hoping we can come to a resolution about the bug problem.
The bright side is the manager is very understanding and attentive. Every time we tell her we see them, she schedules a spraying. It just doesn't seem to help very much yet.
The neighborhood is okay,it gets shady at night with about half a dozen homeless people by the gas station across the street, but it's not horrible. There's a great taco truck around the corner with cheap and delicious food. You're also within walking distance to fun KTown spots like California Donuts and a few other places with great happy hours.
Overall, If you're on as tight of a budget as I am, it's not a horrible place to live. The apartment is way bigger than other studios i've seen in Koreatown and the price is fair and it seems to be a secure building. Be sure to spring for the parking for $50/month if you do decide to sign a lease. We we're not smart about it and chose to pass on the tandem parking space because we thought it would be inconvenient. yeah what was more inconvenient though is driving around for 30minutes looking for a spot. Basically it's a place to live, if we didn't have bugs, it'd be much nicer.
