Originally an apartment hotel, the property now called The Commodore opened its doors in 1927, right as the movie industry took root in Los Angeles and Hollywood came to symbolize opportunity, the golden era of the movie business, and the good life... .
That same year, Graumans Chinese Theatre on what would later become the historic Hollywood Walk of Fame opened. The nearby movie palace soon became the de facto host of high-profile Hollywood film premieres and such prestigious events as the Academy Awards.
Today, eclectic and avant-garde Hollywood music, art and film continue to permeate the senses inside The Commodore of Hollywood.

The Commodore is a stunning piece of history brought back to life! You can feel the past in every detail, yet everything feels fresh and thoughtfully maintained. The apartments are very spacious, and have this old Hollywood feel with the walk-in closets and built in vanities.

Lizzet is awesome! The property is gorgeous! I love the staff and the service is great. The construction nextdoor sucks but I'm hoping to be done soon.
