Yikes

Just moved into Thurman a week ago. So far I’ve had to switch apartments, because the original wasn’t ready, a bathtub spout fly across the room because its sole method of attachment was a little bit of caulk, a backed up sink drain that was fixed by snaking it onto one of my towels that I had to throw away…but most annoying and unacceptable is the refrigerator that they put in my apartment like it’s acceptable for use by anyone.
This fridge has 47 dents in it, I counted them. I’ve talked to the… manager in person about this fridge, I’ve talked to 2 leasing agents, and I’ve sent a minimum of 6 messages/ emails about it. They don’t care, I was told nearly 50 dents in an appliance is “just cosmetic” and the vibe is like- I should just be grateful that bath spouts aren’t turning into projectiles anymore. I have received exactly zero follow up about this refrigerator from all the calls and messages.
So, just know…as of AUGUST 2026, this beautiful refrigerator that looks like it was purchased for $7 at a yard sale and then fell off the back of a truck, could be yours for the low price of two thousand and something dollars. Don’t get me started on the state of garbage and embarrassment that is the pool furniture.
I came here knowing the neighborhood is rough, what I did not know is that the “roughness” would carry over into my apartment. Exceptionally disappointing thus far.

Worst Building HORRIBLE MANAGEMENT

Elevators always broken. Homeless and squatters everywhere in the building. Uncontrolled roach problem. Extremely noisy. Always lose money or changing banking systems so ledger is outdated. Avoid by all means necessary.

Charges galor!

I’ve lived here for a while, and while the elevators seem to be working more often lately, management really needs to get their billing together. We weren’t charged for electricity for four months, and I later found out they had removed some residents from the billing roster while processing leases—no clear explanation why. Then suddenly, all those charges were dumped on us at once.
On top of that, you can’t pay directly with a bank account without being hit with a $3.95 fee, essentially forcing… you to use a credit card. Yes, you can pay with a cashier’s check—but that costs around $8.00, which is ridiculous.
For the amount they charge, the property is not well maintained at all. The floors look terrible. Honestly, I’d recommend looking elsewhere.

Going Down Hill

I’ve lived here for about five years, and it’s been challenging to say the least. We’re not asking for perfection — just accountability. The repeated late fees on exempt charges like third-party services and parking, along with promises to remove them that go unfulfilled, are more than frustrating — they’re demoralizing.

As someone who pays on time, I’ve never seen it this bad. It feels less like property management and more like daily harassment. I hope leadership chooses to listen, take… responsibility, and do better for those of us who still call this place home.

Wow! What an improvement!

I am a longtime resident and this building has presented a complete 360! They are throwing resident events each month, they remodeled the lobby a month ago and it’s beautiful! Walked in from work today and was so happy to see a beautifully decorated Christmas tree!

I have lived here for 6 years and have never seen this happen. Thanks Danielle!
