Willowbrook Apartments

Pros:
Very nice apartment, spacious and well kept
Management is highly responsive to maintenance issues in the apartment
Grounds seem well kept although not the most lush - many barren areas
Washer and dryer hookups but for dryer is electric only.

Cons:
I have the worst neighbors I've ever had in my entire life upstairs. The noise never, ever stops with continuous bangs, bumps, crashes, stomping, running.It's like living in a construction zone. I knew from the first week I moved in that I… would be moving out at lease end. You can't change people that are this far gone.
Kids use the parking lot as a playground. Very unsafe for everyone.
Pools are often closed with no explanation.
Must give 60 day notice of moving out (plus 2 months rent if breaking lease).
When your lease nears the end, they notify you to either sign for a new 12 month lease or have your rent increase by even more than what it will increase with a renewed lease. Not only that, they will raise it even more by $10 every month. In other words, renew or get out. Very rude. Read More

My first month here I went to go park in my parking spot I was given and another tenant blocked me in and would not move his car because he said it was his spot now.
The family that lives above us are not considerate of us that live below them. There kids run and scream all three the night. I tried talking with them and asked them nicely to please keep it down so I can work and the mother just gave me attitude and slammed the door in my face. I know ypur thinking tell the manger well I did 5… TIMES! I've also took videos of it and NOTHING HAS BEEN DONE. Now last night a bunch of kids that did not live here snuck in and had a HUGE party and had a fight in the parking lot so I told the manager again and of course they did nothing and to make it worse there was no security guard to break up the party so they were here till 4 in the morning! The one-bedroom apartment at Willowbrook is the best one-bedroom option in Merced - believe me, I've looked! The one-bedroom is a stand-alone unit, kind of like a villa or cottage, but it's located in a complex, so you still get all the convenience of a complex (trash, maintenance, pool, etc). I also love that the complex is full of beautiful trees. The unit has washer/dryer hook-up and on-site laundry. My roommate and I live in this apartment complex and that's exactly what it is "complex." It has everything that anyone could need or want. If you were starting a family and have kids, they have two different playgrounds and two pools to relax and enjoy life. Also for the adults they have a beach volleyball court, and right across the street is a open soccer field, a basketball court, and yet another playground. The staff is phenomenal as well, as soon as an individual lets Susan, the… manager, know that something is broken she lets the team of handymen know and they are there and the problem is fixed in the same day.
