Loved living in Gemello

My husband and I lived in Gemello for two years, and we loved it there. Gemello is the best kept secret in Mountain View. The property and apartments were updated and well maintained, and very peaceful. I loved that we lived in the heart of Mountain View and yet it was perfectly quiet inside the apartment. The property manager was friendly, reliable, and very responsive. The only reason we left is because we moved out of state.

Great place to live, good management.

I lived in Gemello at a townhouse for about a year and a half. Had to move in mid my second lease, and the process was smooth and friendly.
We had few issues while living there, and when we did Marti was always responsive and fixed them promptly. Never really met my neighbors, but never had issues with them either.
Swimming pool always seemed okay, but never used it.
Perhaps the only bad thing is noise if your window faces El Camino Real. If you turn in early, you might have a tough time… falling asleep, and working during the day with a window open on that side of the street is a bad experience. But that's not on the property, it's just something to consider if you're sensitive to noise.

Good place to live with nice neighbors, and a solid property manager

This is my 2nd review since my first one somehow got removed. I've been living at Gemello Village for about a year now and so far it's been fantastic. The location is good and the neighbors are nice and not loud. If you're a professional that's WFH then you don't have to worry about noise. The property manager responds quickly and has been great to deal with overall-she resolved all of my issues within a few days. Even though the Apartment complex doesn't have a lot of amenities it's still great… for the price and the gated parking is convenient since it's gated and there's always one available. Overall I highly recommend this apartment.

No services

Basically no services at all apart from a small pool which is left as it is, never cleaned. We have taken this issue to the community manager, Martina, to no avail. She is bad mouthed and treats residents like they are living on charity. De Anza properties management doesn't have any involvement so everyone is left to her decision.

Talk to resident who have been living there, they had some bad experience or other. Takes several days to fix any issue with the apartments. Literally had to beg her… to unclog out sink.

This resident asked that the pool be heated for him in the winter time because he was taking swimming lessons. I did turn the pool heat on for the winter just for his use.
We have a reputable, full-time pool cleaning service. The chemicals are… always balanced as our health dept. reports can confirm. We had a particularly windy fall that year and many leaves blowing into the pool. On two different occasions the wind was so strong that 2 deck chairs ended up in the pool and were fished out the next morning when we discovered them. I think residents will find our pool looking clean and well cared for.
One of his maintenance requests was for a clogged kitchen sink, only to find a drinking cup stuck in his drain. The next time he called regarding a clogged kitchen sink, I asked him 2 questions about the sink, however, maintenance did perform the repair that same day. We do have full time maintenance on-site and perform maintenance requests the same day in most cases. I believe many of our residents can attest to our prompt service:
