It also has a good transit score which means there are many nearby public transportation options, as well as car sharing available from Getaround, Zipcar, City CarShare and RelayRides and is walkable to the carpooling opportunity to the San Francisco financial district.

A room at the top
This is a really nice building with 8 apartments on three floors. The apartments are qall studios and one bedrooms. My studio is about 700sf. with a separate kitchen/dining area and three, that's right three, walk in closets. The laundry room is on the lobby floor and usually both washers and dryers are in good working condition. Lake Merritt is 2 blocks away, convenient for walking, jogging and just sitting in the sun. The building is generally quiet.
Cons
There is no elevator. The common… areas of the building are cleaned about every six weeks so spills that stain the carpeting remain until the regular maintenance. Repairs are made slowly if at all. The buj8ildig is steam heated and the pipes clang and rattle when the heat is turned on.
