The Crossings Student Apartments

Location wise, it is a very convenient location for students in terms of campus but the downsides to that are the surrounding area is not all that great and the train passes by twice every night which easily wakes you up. In terms of cleanliness, I give this a very low rating. Upon move in we discovered many cockroaches each day and night even though our apartment was kept very clean. There was also rats seen outside pretty occasionally. In terms of safety, this is the ghetto....cops are… seen here every weekend dealing with something with some of the residents, multiple times a week there are random parties on the quad or near the pool playing loud music till late midweek. Management is horrible. Crime is normal and you don’t get what up pay for plus extra random fees. Expect your car to get broken into while waiting months to be accepted for parking that’s $175.

Management sucks! Expect to live with other tenants that are not vetted in any way and will cause you headaches.

Utilities are not included in the rent. It is a separate fee every month and can be upwards of an extra $50. There are several extra fees in general that you will be paying every month.

You will want to end up leaving but the only way to get out of your lease is to sublet, but you will have no takers and be stuck with the lease. If, you plan to have a car expect to pay high fees to… have a parking spot or park outside the complex and have your car broken into.

While the apartment itself is fine, management is horrible at communicating with residents, especially about parking issues. If you don't have a parking permit, the closest overnight parking is half a mile away. My room has water damage and leaks that I've requested repairs for multiple times and each time they just say "oh it's just condensation" when there's a huge puddle under the fan in my bathroom every other day, even when I don't take hot showers. First floor is the worst, too. Scooters… will chirp outside at all hours of the night when people park them, and students throwing parties cause property damage.
