CItyview is a hidden gem in East Village. Only one way in and out, has a large parking lot in the front of the building for loading/unloading supplies which is a rarity for downtown San Diego. Love their underground parking as the cars are kept out of the hot sun. Big thumbs up to the front office and the maintenance crew: they are invested in the building and it shows. Communication from staff is prompt and delivered straight to your email so you are always aware of anything going on. The... building is solid, clean, and the residents are a good mix of students, military, and working adults. Everyone is respectful of each other's privacy and space.
If you must have your fancy expensive gym and exquisite game rooms so you can post it on social media, you will have to look elsewhere. This building is for ordinary working folks like me, and for the price, you won't get a better offer in downtown.

City View is a great complex for those who want to live in the city life but also want to live in a laidback atmosphere, management is awesome as well as the maintenance staff. If they had a pool it would definitely be a win but overall the community is a great and small community that doesnt feel like a downtown complex which is great.
