This was the best apartment I’ve ever lived in. I moved here in 2021 and moved out in 2023. The grounds are well kept, the staff is friendly and attentive to calls & emails, the maintenance team is efficient and timely, the amenities are great, the walking trail and tunnel to costco is awesome, I’ve never felt unsafe, there’s security that walk the grounds at night, it’s quiet and everyone is respectful there, it’s a plus that it’s gated, they’re always making renovations & improvements, the... landscaping is gorgeous, the resident activities the leasing office sets up are so nice and fun, it was just awesome. Didn’t have any issues moving in, and didn’t have any issues moving out. Was sad to leave! Go see it in person because nothing you see on here will do the place justice!

Nice property but poor management
Portofino has nice grounds and a really nice pool. It's a great place to live if you are lucky enough to have respectful neighbors. If not, Portofino won't do anything about it. I had upstairs neighbors that made incessant noise at all hours for months, including allowing a huge dog to run back and forth for hours. This wasn't just my personal reaction. I had friends visit and shake their head in disbelief that I had to live like that. I asked management to intervene and they made a few phone... calls but essentially did nothing when it continued. Ultimately, I had to move. Rather than show any kind of support or concern that they had allowed a tenant to be run out of their complex, leaving me with all the frustration and cost of a move from an apt I hadn't been in very long, Portofino's response was to charge me an extra week for not giving a full 30 days notice and keep my entire security deposit plus charge me some extra. Their justification was that, after me living there for 8 months, they needed to replace the carpet in the entire apartment and repaint all the walls. In 20 years of renting, I've never not gotten my entire security deposit back, because I always leave my apartment in a good state. (Ex, I once lived in an apartment where part of the carpet had gotten quite dirty due to foot traffic, so I paid someone to shampoo it twice, and it came out perfectly clean.) I spoke with them in advance to make sure they were aware and that I was willing to pay for whatever cleaning was necessary. That clearly didn't matter. In short, they'll be very polite with you on the phone and then do whatever serves their purposes afterwards.
