Updated Review - if I could give negative stars, I would.

FOR ALL CURRENT AND FUTURE RESIDENTS - SAVE EVERY DOCUMENT AND EMAIL! BE SURE TO GET EVERYTHING IN WRITING. They will try to scam you the second they can. Shady is an understatement. I have met used car salesmen with more morals and ethics than the Rowyn and Greystar teams.

My entire unit flooded from the rain on January 1st due to poor construction. The maintenance informed us that all of the complex's flood protections failed at once.... Due to poor management and lack of urgency, nothing has been resolved.

I was moved to a different, smaller unit with no choice in the matter. This was after my items sat in a moldy unit for almost a week. Since then, the management team has repeatedly tried to scam me, lied to my face, gone back on their word (even when it's in writing), and have also attempted on several occasions to trick us into signing away the extra concessions they promised (also in writing).

If I could afford to buy myself out of this lease, I would in a heartbeat. I would not wish this on anyone. This has cost us so much money, time, and stress and yet they still have not made any real efforts to make things right. IF YOU HAVEN’T SIGNED - WALK AWAY WHILE YOU STILL CAN!!! Read More

Rowyn has been absolutely wonderful. From the beginning, the team have been welcoming, responsive, and made the entire process feel seamless. So far, I love the apartment—the location is incredible, and it truly feels like home. Being in Hillcrest, San Diego adds to the charm; it’s cozy, walkable, and has such a great neighborhood feel. Heidi, Rachelle, Richard and Colton played a big role in making this transition so positive, and I’m really happy to be living here.

I’ve heard horrible things about GreyStar properties, but I thought the complex was worth taking the risk. I couldn’t have been more wrong.
The lack of approachability, urgency, communication, and overall professionalism has been appalling. I am counting down the days until our lease is up. I would never recommend or move into any of the GreyStar properties again.

I can't say enough good things about the team at Rowyn, they've been absolutely amazing throughout the entire leasing process. Richard is the one who truly sold me on the place and put all my worries at ease. Heidi, Rachelle, Colton, and the entire team are incredibly knowledgeable and usually have answers right away. Even on the rare occasion they need to check on something, they get back to me within hours. They're extremely gracious with their time and genuinely care about making the... experience smooth and stress-free.

I'll admit, I tend to be wary of GreyStar properties, but this team completely changed my opinion and put those worries to bed. After working with them, I knew Rowyn would become my home. The building itself is beautiful, but a building is only as good as the team running the day-to-day operations. This crew is crushing it!

I’ve only been living here for two weeks, but it’s been great so far! The Management Team at Rowyn is super professional and friendly, and the location is just perfect. Easy access to Downtown, Mission Valley, and North Park. The amenities are amazing too - there’s a spacious pool and lounging area, and a club lounge. Oh, and there’s a chef’s kitchen that the residents can use, and one of the best apartment gyms I’ve seen, flooded with natural light.
