Great Aprtnent, Better Location
Russian hill is easily one of the best neighborhoods in the city. It's safe, mostly quiet, and walking distance to just about everything you would need. The down side is definitely the amount of hills you need to conquer just to go to Walgreens.
The building is older, well maintained and family owned. They just recently renovated every unit to be more updated. This includes granite countertops, refinished hard wood floors, new windows; and built out bathrooms. The appliances are a bit old,... especially the stoves. There are no units with dishwashers, and no plans to add them as far as I know. The landlord is very responsive, around often, and has been helpful in the five years I've lived here.
Would definitely recommend this building and the owners as easy to deal with renters.
