Wow I should've looked at reviews about how unresponsive the team here is.
Before signing my lease last week, avg response time for my emails was about 2hours. Since I've signed my lease, I'm getting a response one in two days and my last email was sent 3 days ago and I still haven't heard back.
On top of this, they asked me to move my move in date by 3 days after signing the lease and then when I told them I wouldn't be OK with that and suggested an alternative since I'd have to get a hotel,... they have not responded to me.

Once a great place to live, now it is not worth it
This place has the potential the be a great property, but I feel like the current management has become disengaged and no long takes pride in taking care of the common areas. Hallways are disgusting, carpets are stained and it smells. The floor tiles are cracked and the wall are showing signs of significant wear and tear. But by far the worst part is the other residents. In the past 3 months, I have come across dog poo and pee left INSIDE the common areas of my building, the gas BBQ has been... damaged with someone using charcoal, and people parking in our paid reserved space. Look, I have lived here since 2018, but after covid, the quality of this place has changed, and for the worst. Hopefully new staff will take over soon to return a degree of care and pride into the community, but until then I cannot recommend living here and plan on not renewing my lease.

Very Poor Community
We are loosing our packages on a day to day basis on top of that your neighbors in your high class society steal you DoorDash food too. This community as well as Avalon has no class. The only classy thing they have is the leasing office. If things go wrong once I understand, twice is okay too. Oh man, this is crazy!!

Going downhill
Been living here since it opened in 2014 and its ashame that the property is going downhill. While the maintenance staff is awesome and always responsive, the overall feel of the property has gone down. Several break ins to cars and thefts of bikes make it feel more unsafe than before. There is a secure garage and a secure bike storage area, but the thefts and break -ins keep happening. There needs to be security onsite overnight and early mornings. We pay enough rent to cover the cost of this... ! The office used to accept packages but for some reason no longer does. They made it seem like they were doing us a favor when they changed their policy and now packages are left in hallways which, with all the recent thefts, seems like a disaster waiting to happen.
For the price of the rent we pay, which has gone up each year mind you, Avalon should be doing a lot better.

Solid location and amenities
This is a very convenient place to live. It's a reasonable diving distance to any office in the Silicon Valley, and Diridon Station is a 5 minute walk so you can take the Caltrain to San Francisco. Whole Foods is next door, and Downtown San Jose is just up the street.
All of the apartments here are 2 floors and have the same model, with 1 or 2 bedrooms upstairs and 1.5 bathrooms.
There is a gym and pool, gas barbecue grills, drop off dry cleaning, underground parking,...
