How Is This Rating Determined?

Don’t do it

I don’t know how this place has a “4 star” rating. I lived here from 2015-2020 and it was terrible. Yes, management is always there but they don’t do ANYTHING. Maintenance was overworked and it always took forever to get things “fixed”. They always half fixed things and took the cheapest routes possible. Pretty sure our apartment had mold but all they would to is paint over it. There was a lot more wrong that I don’t even want to get into just don’t do it!

I rented there two years and they and Great..

The office is always open for any issues you have. The place is great. There is always room for improvement but the manager is responsive and professional. The place in as inexpensive as you will find. I would rent their again in a second.

Don't rent here if you can help it.

The exterior of the apartment is filthy. This is partly due to lack of attention by management and partly due to the approximately 15 children who play on all three floors and in both stairwells. The elevator stopped working a few months after I moved in and after living there for two years still wasn't fixed when I left - pretty sure it's an ADA violation. We paid $50 deposits for gate keys, but the day the gate was installed it was promptly broken by a tenant, so sometimes vagrants wander... around the building. On that subject, its only fair that I mention that our walkway window was always open and we never had problems with security, even with our cars (terrible parking too btw!).

The interior is all right at first glance. My apartment had new wood floors and the walls were adequate. The kitchen fixtures are old and don't function well. The faucet wasn't secured to the sink and the garbage disposal broke. The sink also clogs very frequently and the clogs affect the whole building. Nothing in the kitchen is sealed which gives roaches many places to hide and breed. When I moved in I spent the first two days cleaning every corner of the kitchen of roach carcasses. The kitchen light also stopped working. The bathroom was ok, but it's position behind the kitchen makes it prone to roach invasions. The cold water in the sink doesn't run, and the toilet requires you to hold the handle to flush fully. Bedrooms are large with good closet space but the windows don't sit properly in the walls. My window was OK, but my roommate's windows literally fell apart and was only held in place by the blinds. Heating in the apartment is interesting. Heat is provided by three electric heater located in both bedrooms and the living room. The ones in the rooms work well and as intended, but the one in the living room had no controls save a broken thermostat on the opposite wall. The interesting thing about that heater is that it never worked except for one weekend when we were away. Since it didn't work we stored a space mattress against it, but upon returning home that weekend we found our apartment had a strong peculiar smell. We pulled the mattress out to find it scorched deeply. We were extremely upset because of the risk the incident posed to the other tenants and our cat. Management is non-existent.

If you can help it, don't rent here. The rent may be relatively cheaper here but after living there for two years I would try to convince anyone that it's not worth the price.

Bad Management

1.The complex is too dirty and is not safe I've got stolen. 2. Management is awful make up rule and change rules all the time, and they don't fix anything. 3. I have no hot water for 5 days and they didn't fix it because it's expensive. 4. Some of the apartment have cockroaches and they won't go if you clean it 1000 times. 5.There are no parking on the street ,so you will park your another car 10 minute away walking form your apartment. 6.There are no swimming pool it is always close and nasty.... 7. The laundry room is too dirty. and they don't clean it.

West Village is Jumping with Life

A WONDERFUL PLACE TO LIVE!!
Music, karaoke style in various languages throb through the night air till early morn; feral cats sing, roaches, fleas and bedbugs all gladly to keep you company, day or night. You'll never be lonely, as children run the stairs and ride bikes on the walkways of all three floors. Exercise won't be a problem as elevators are often out of Service. All this and more at the low and extremely affordable monthly rate of $1895 for a two bedroom apartment.
Even betterx no risk...
of swimmer's ear, since the advertised pool has been condemned by the health department since 2010!
