College Gardens Apartments

The complex is located in a great place, and the rent is not bad for the location. But the internet situation is terrible, as the internet service provider Instaconnect is unreliable, slow, and unhelpful. Sometimes the ISP will be helpful and actually communicate with you, but these instances are few and far between. God forbid you have an actually urgent problem like a multiple week-long internet outage (which I am currently in!!!), because both the ISP and the landlords of College Gardens will... be unavailable and refuse to help you. Even if you go through the proper steps of putting in maintenance requests, you may find them canceled with no explanation.
Almost everything else is perfectly fine about the property, the biggest problem really is just the terribly unreliable internet.

The College Gardens Apartment in SLO, ripped off my family and my daughters roommates family of half of our security deposits even-though we left the apartment spotless. If you don't request a pre-move out inspection they will take advantage of you too.
We were charged $472.76 for them to repaint the apartment. There were only small holes that we filled. Be sure you purchase a pint of Dunn-Edwards Paint Interior S/G Swiss Coffee (SWLL50-1-341-1) to paint over your filled holes. We were charged... $60.00 because we didn't clean the outside of the windows (this wasn't on the list). We were charged $150.00 to unclog kitchen sink that was not clogged. We were charged $258.00 for a maid service to clean a spotless apartment.
I wrote them a letter about my shock of such treatment and they sent back fake zoomed in photos that were not of the girls apartment. They can obviously get away with this so be sure to take photos of every single thing you clean and schedule the pre-move out inspection a month in advance so you are ahead of this game. Read More
