POST LEAVING CHARGES LEFT A HOLE IN MY POCKET.

I was a resident of this place from Jan 2017 till Nov 2020 for almost 3 years in 2 different apartments and I would not recommend this management group community for any future resident.

They didn't charge much when I switched my first apartment in the same community because they wanted to look nice. When i decided to leave, they charged me a lot of money and nullified my $500 deposit.

The rent looks reasonable but they would charge with proration for the carpet though it is in good condition...
and available for next tenant in good condition. That alone costed $800.

They are charging for each wear and tear item and was charged more than $1500 dollars when i left.

I paid higher rent as per contract but still they didn't adjust rent as per the post covid rental guidelines. They literally stuck with paper contract and tone deaf on covid difficulties for people.

They don't respond to emails when you ask questions regarding the money that you pay.

DON'T RENT THIS APARTMENT!!! THEY WILL RIP YOU OFF WHEN YOU VACATE.

The management of this apartment uses the THREAT OF LAWSUITS to RIP YOU OFF when your lease gets over - CONTINUE READING FOR THE FULL STORY.

I had a very very bad experience with Marina Cove Apartments and it's management. I am sad to find out that after living in this apartment for 1 year and paying rent promptly every month, I am now being CHEATED for $3000 and THREATENED to be sent to collections if I don't pay.

I have been staying in this apartment for 1 year and have paid my rent every...
single month. I've been a good tenant and have kept my home very well maintained. I decided to move out of this place to a better and less expensive place because of an almost 15% increase in my rent from the past year.

A few days before my lease is going to get over, and after I shifted all my belongings to a new apartment, Marina Cove management sent me a mail saying
"if we do not hear from you, your lease will automatically default to month-to-month and the rent will change accordingly".

I replied asking them what did they mean. They replied saying "You will also need to provide payment for the 30 days.... [if] you unable to pay, your account will be sent to collections."

I told them that I did not get any communication regarding this and they replied saying that they had put some notice on my door (which I never found). And "PLEASE FEEL FREE TO ESCALATE THIS WITH YOUR LAWYER AND LET US KNOW HOW YOU WITH TO PROCEED."

How am I supposed to hire an expensive lawyer to fight such a case? This is a prime example of a large rental corporate with expensive lawyers using the threat of lawsuits to rip money off from their tenants.

AGAIN, PLEASE THINK TWICE BEFORE SIGNING A LEASE WITH THIS APARTMENT. THEY WILL RIP YOU OFF WHEN YOU VACATE.

Very comfortable unit that's the perfect size for us. Complex is well kept and the grounds are lovely. Scheduling maintenance requests and paying rent were never easier using the online Membership Portal. Love love love the in-unit laundry and the pool!
