I called the number given here they gave me another number and turns out there is no 1 bath and 1 bedroom apartment for that price.

Stranger Danger, Fake Security & Constant Fire Alarms
There are new businesses in this building and a constant stream of randoms are coming through the (supposedly) separate apartment part of the building. All the downstairs doors are constantly being propped open by these folks, so the once quiet lobby now looks like a train station on some days. They are also renting out apartments nightly to other randoms. I have no idea who belongs in here anymore - I don't recognize anyone I ever see here.
Crimes have been committed in the lobby in full... view of the "security cameras" mounted there. The thing you learn quickly though is that the cameras are FAKE. They aren't actually recording, so when the management office is asked to provide the evidence of the crime, they laugh - "we don't actually RECORD anything on those cameras!! LOL" Couple that with the Stranger Danger mentioned above and I totally feel unsafe at this point.
Not to mention that every time someone cooks a pizza at 3am, the fire alarms go off in the whole building because you MUST turn on the exhaust just to use your oven. No joke. I can't turn the oven off without the smoke alarm going off. Good thing is that the fire department is on this block, so they are usually here really fast. Bad thing is that the fire department is on this block, so you get to hear sirens 10x a night every night (especially during the summer).
All this with the Santa Monica rent price. Yay
