Place is old and deteriorated

the place is old and deteriorated. Appliances are old and some don't work. When you leave, they charge for all reparations and the clean up takes up your whole deposit.

My experience

Management was great but the apartments were not. The place is old and not very appealing. Also, once we moved out they took money out of our deposit for things that we didn’t even use (dishwasher) & microwave. The owners claimed it was dirty/not working when we did not even use it once and we even cleaned it before we moved out.

Barcelona Apartment Homes

Recently, my fiance and I started searching for a starter apartment, so that we could be settled before our wedding in February. After looking for several hours, we were almost completely discouraged. Things were either too expensive or not what we were looking for (bug problems, terrible management, etc.) Out of options, we decided to just stop by Barcelona. They had a sign out front announcing their vacancy and the apartments looked very clean from the street. When we parked and entered the… courtyard, we were greeted with an immeasurably beautiful collection of plants, a sparkling pool, and the cutest picnic areas with gas connected barbecues and adorable, picturesque lighting. The entire property was stunning and we were beyond impressed by the management. We were greeted promptly and given a tour of the grounds, which includes the pool and picnic areas I mentioned, as well as a lounge area that has satellite television, a full kitchen, and a billiards table. The apartment was very clean with the most character I've seen at the price they're listed for. The apartment has quality, custom cabinetry, absolutely adorable secret garden-esque archways leading into the kitchen and hallway. It has a private balcony and the rooms are spacious. If that weren't enough, the apartments are quiet. So, so quiet. All of our neighbors are very quiet and courteous. Welcoming, even. Long story short, this place is overwhelming. With 24 hour emergency maintenance, nice neighbors, great management, and the convenient location, I don't think we could have found anything better. I definitely recommend taking a look if you're in need of housing in the central Visalia area.
