Vista Denver

This place is awful. I put in two service requests. The first one was done quickley, but my roomate & I were not motified that it was. We only knew when we attempted to use the stove. My second request was tha all but the bathroom outlet in my specific room went out. I put in a service. Heard nothing for a week. Had to physically go to the pffice for someone to actually do something. Garage door openers rarely work. Only ONE elevator has worked since I moved in in June 2025. When they suposedly... “fixed” the broken one, the one the used to work os now down. The firealarm CONSTANTLY goes off. Especially at night. It’s more annoying for me as most days I do not get home from work until sometime between 12 a.m. and 2 a.m. I was told I would be getting a roomate & given her number to reach out in advance. They did not even bother to give me her number. I only found out when I came back from work one morning respectfully being like “who are you?” Do NOT live here unless you have to. A few months ago I probably would’ve said it’s fine. Not great, but not bad. Now though, I’m at my limit dealing with this place, so I can confidently recommend: DO NOT MOVE HERE. In less than a year we’ve had:
*plumbing problems (water turned off for hours and no hot water for days mainly come to mind but there are other smaller problems I’ve noticed too);
*fire alarms going off unnecessarily, this has become so disruptive my roommate literally contacted the fire marshal
*garage doors/garage... door remotes constantly having issues
*mobile app used to access doors barely works
*consistent problems with washing machines and dryers (and the app they use hasn’t processed a single complaint for issues on their end either)
*and more issues that I could probably sit here all day listing.
Basically every issue we’ve ever had has been a nightmare to get resolved (if it ever does get fixed).
For the rent they’re asking, the constant problems and grievances are just not worth it.

Aside from the friendly staff, there are not many positive things to say about this place. Within the six months I lived there, the water was shut off at least 4 times. They overcharge you for parking and for the space you are getting. Our living room/kitchen was smaller than my bedroom; how is that enough space for 3 people? Sink is small, dish washer is small, oven and stove are all small. They advertise blackout curtains but the curtains are not. We ran into multiple maintenance issues (AC... multiple times, dish washer, sinks, toilets, etc.). Emails would constantly go unanswered, even when asking about important things like rent. Dog friendly building which I don’t mind but constant dog pee in the elevators or in the lobby. Laundry situation is a nightmare. I bought a drying rack because the dryers DO NOT WORK unless you dry your clothes for like 20 hours. The staff does their best to keep it a friendly place but the building itself is not worth it. Convenient location for DU students, walking distance to class, good price for what is included. Really cool patios and you can see downtown Denver and the mountains. Overall, would recommend!
Pros:
- Private bathrooms for each person
-AC!
-The staff is friendly and helpful and they give away free food at events
Cons:
-The kitchen has a dishwasher but it is a little bit small
-All of the furniture is included (bed, desk etc.) but you need to get lamps

I have lived here for going on 2 years and love it!!! The apartments are so affordable for this area of Denver and so spacious. The Vista staff has been especially helpful with any problem that may come up. Would definitely recommend!
