Only move here if you want to compromise your quality of life.
Spending time in my living room is anxiety provoking. My neighbor bangs on the wall if I utilize my living room at any capacity past 10pm. She complains to management and management in turn sends threatening emails to us. We’ve said numerous times our tv volume never exceeds 12/100 which is very difficult for us to even hear so we watch tv with captions. We aren’t able to speak at a normal tone and find ourselves constantly whispering. We even had the property manager put in an email that she’s... walked past our unit and feels that our tv or music is at a reasonable volume.
The last noise complaint we got, the property manager lied and said there were 3 separate complaints from different tenants. Nope. Just the same neighbor calling and leaving a voicemail. When we came down to speak to the property manager, she refused to speak to us. The front desk receptionist played the voicemail back and even agreed that the complaint was ridiculous. If we turned all noises off in our unit and placed our phone up against the wall in our bedroom and our neighbor was watching tv, you’d hear the same thing. We’ve been bullied into staying in our bedroom past 10pm.
PS. There’s also a huge bug problem. I get that we’re next to a canal and the CT river but it’s pretty ridiculous that so many bugs get into the unit through the ac.
