Looking for someone to rent the basement bedroom in my rowhouse starting as soon as May 15, but no later than June 1. Huge space with a decent sized closet, private entrance and separate bathroom downstairs.

You would be sharing a kitchen, dining... area, living room, and outdoor spaces (including back yard and fire pit) with me, but plenty of room in the basement for a TV, fridge, microwave, etc., if you want to have your own space!

Rent: $1050 + 1/3 of utilities (gas, electric, internet) - I would pay 2/3s and you would pay 1/3.

Us: fully vaccinated human in early 40s with an adorable one year old baby, work on the hill, stay pretty busy with baby/work/friends, love to host people, cook, values some alone time, but also down to share down time or a glass of wine on the front porch or around the backyard fire pit with a housemate. My co-parent is often over, and its important to me that the house feels like a home.

The location: The location is amazing. Right near Dew Drop, Metropolitan Branch Trail. Ten minutes from both Rhode Island Ave and Brookland Metro Stations. Ten minute walk to Monroe Street Restaurants/Bus Boys/New Trader Joe's, and 15 minutes from 12th Street Restaurants and Bars.

You: Have your own life, considerate of shared spaces, will be considerate with the baby, and will treat the house as a home.
