Top notch - location, service, staff

Blackbird has been a great apartment building to live in. It's my first experience in a larger building like this but it genuinely feels like a community. Building management is so responsive and kind - Angel and Bertha are truly lovely and now feel more like friends than building management. When things break or need to be addressed, they're always on top of it. They're extremely considerate and great problem solvers. I'd highly recommend this building to others.

A Fantastic Home in the Heart of the City

I’ve been living at Blackbird since 2021, and I absolutely love it here! The location is unbeatable – everything you need is right at your fingertips. The building features an upscale food hall on the ground level, complete with a full bar and beer garden, offering a variety of delicious options.

Being right across from the metro station has made commuting incredibly convenient. The neighborhood is vibrant, with plenty of great restaurants and shops within walking distance.

Overall, Blackbird… has exceeded my expectations, and I wholeheartedly recommend it. 5 stars!

Home!!!

I’ve lived at Blackbird with my partner for 4 years, and it has been an incredible experience. Angel and Bertha have always been attentive and provide a management team you can truly rely on. They also throw the best resident events, from live entertainment and big-screen movie nights by the pool to happy hours at The Roost—definitely going to miss that. As I’m moving abroad to France, I will miss both my apartment and the fantastic management team dearly. I highly recommend Blackbird to anyone… looking for an apartment in DC!

Great place!

I’ve been living at Blackbird Apartments for a while now, and I couldn’t be happier with my experience here. The management team, especially Angel, has been extremely helpful and attentive to all our needs. The food hall downstairs is a fantastic convenience, offering a variety of delicious options right at our doorstep. Maintenance requests are handled promptly and efficiently by the skilled maintenance staff. The entire team is incredibly friendly and always goes the extra mile to make sure… residents are comfortable. I highly recommend Blackbird Apartments to anyone looking for a great place to live!

Poor Management

I lived in the Blackbird for 1 yr. The space was okay, with some small complaints. However, ultimately, I had a terrible time with the management. I would have trouble getting certain things fixed (even though the maintenance team is great!) and there were incongruities with what the management team would tell me. I felt lied to.
