No solution for noisy neighbors
My family and I have lived in this building for almost seven years. The location is great and packages are handled safely, which we genuinely appreciated for a long time.
Unfortunately, the last two years have been extremely difficult because of the constant impact noise from the unit above us. The upstairs neighbor walks around in hard-soled heels throughout the day and late into the night. The sound is sharp and repetitive and carries straight through the ceiling, like someone pacing on a... stage above your head.
We have politely appealed to the neighbor more than once, hoping for some basic consideration, but it has brought little lasting change. Each time we contact building management, the noise stops briefly and then gradually returns.
The noise is so intense that even a simple phone recording clearly captures how bad it is. Living with this day after day is incredibly hard. Sleep gets interrupted, evenings are tense, and your own home stops feeling like a place where you can rest.
It is disappointing because the building does have positives. But after two years of this exhausting cycle, we are simply worn out and looking forward to moving to a new home. If you happen to get a noisy upstairs neighbor here, be aware that it can seriously affect your sleep, comfort, and peace of mind.

Great staff
Nice property to rent in. The staff is very friendly, especially Tabby and Meriem from the leasing office. Both of them helped me figure out an issue with my router and have been very kind when I come to them with questions. Definitely ask for them if you have any inquiries.

Carillon house review
I wanted to take a moment to share my experience as a resident of nearly three years. I first moved into a studio apartment on the 6th floor and have since transferred to a one-bedroom unit. Throughout my time here, I’ve had a very positive experience.
The leasing and maintenance teams have always been professional, responsive, and supportive. I especially want to thank the leasing office for making my recent transfer to the one-bedroom apartment smooth and efficient,it was truly appreciated... .
Overall, I’m very satisfied living at Carillon House. The location is ideal, especially with my children now attending schools nearby, which makes daily life much more convenient for our family.
The only concern I have is the increase in rent, particularly since my unit does not have a renovated kitchen. I understand costs can rise over time, but I wanted to share this feedback in hopes it might be considered in future evaluations.
Thank you again for all your efforts in making this community a great place to live.
NL.

Wonderful property for the price
I moved in almost two months ago and I am enjoying the property. I wanted to wait a while before writing a review, in case any issues came up. The move in process was smooth and Meriem in leasing went above and beyond to help me. I was moving quickly and during a time when a bunch of apartments were filling up. I got a great deal on my space that is below market value. I was worried that the below market value might come with structural or pest issues, but so far neither have been an issue. The... studios are huge - everyone who visits is shocked. The 'L' shape of the studio really breaks up the apartment and makes it feel less like a dorm room and more like an apartment. I never hear my neighbors - it's honestly a bit eerie sometimes because I'm used to hearing the TV or stomping around - but I love the quiet. There is no cell service in the building (apparently due to the Russian embassy). There are very few outlets so you need to bring extension cords. Management and the front desk people have been kind and helpful although I haven't had any maintenance issues yet. The community is friendly and the neighborhood is beautiful and safe. Walking distance to a grocery store. The apartments have huge windows that I haven't seen in other DC apartments. It is definitely older, but overall a wonderful fit for single person looking for a studio.
