Ellicott House

I like the community events we are located in a great area, with a new management team. The tennis court and pool are great amenities which I enjoy.

The new ramp will let me get around on my own. I just had my 86th birthday. I've been waiting for 6 years. Congratulations to the new management for getting it done.

I've lived here 3 yrs and am very happy at Ellicott House. The Forest Hills neighborhood is very upscale and walkable with lots of shops and restaurants nearby. The bus stop is in front of the bldg and the red line is 8 blocks down Connecticut Ave. The bldg has a nice mix of retired professionals and young people. The fact that it is a rent controlled property with utilities included is a real plus.
The units are large and many have balconies. I love that there is a laundry room on every floor... . We have an excellent maintenance staff. I have never seen insects or rodents. We do have occasional issues with hot water but they are quickly resolved. We have a new management company, APT, and they have already made improvements in our quality of life. I love living here!

Rodents, bugs and mold. Do not move here. The price is way to high for what you get. Leaks all over the building and these people don't understand DC law.

Although not a modern luxury bldg, the units are large and there is a laundry room on every floor. Very walkable neighborhood with stores and restaurants close by. This is a rent controlled bldg and utilities are included in rent. There is a bus stop right outside our doors. I would rate it at 5 stars except that we do have hot water issues from time to time.
