Ellicott House

Although not a modern luxury bldg, the units are large and there is a laundry room on every floor. Very walkable neighborhood with stores and restaurants close by. This is a rent controlled bldg and utilities are included in rent. There is a bus stop right outside our doors. I would rate it at 5 stars except that we do have hot water issues from time to time.

I’ve had a very positive experience living in this building. The location is excellent, with easy access to transportation, grocery stores, and everything I need for day-to-day life. The building itself is quiet, clean, and well-maintained, which makes it a very comfortable place to live. One of the highlights for me has been the staff: they are friendly, helpful, and consistently responsive whenever I have a question or need assistance. The common areas are also kept in great condition, and the... overall atmosphere feels safe and welcoming. I truly appreciate the sense of stability and convenience the building provides. My overall experience at Ellicott House Apartment was very good. The apartment is comfortable, well-maintained, and provides a pleasant living environment. The staff and services met my expectations, and I was generally satisfied with everything.

The only area that could be improved is the furniture. While functional, it was not new, and some of the outdoor furniture in particular looked worn. Updating these pieces would make the living experience even better.

The residence is very well located and the neighbors are friendly, but the management and leasing staff could use improvement !

Key Take Away: This building is a safe choice. Both in location and management. I would recommend this building

Wanting to be the change, of less negative reviews on apartment buildings, I lived 1 year at Ellicott House and had no serious issues or complaints. I enjoyed my time in the building, its location, and thought management was good (in comparison to the stories i read online about other places). If i Could have stayed in DC, I would have loved to continue living here.

Biggest... perks were it's location being close enough to the metro and the L2 being just outside, and the safety of the area itself. + utilities being included in the rent made this a great value. I had no issues with bugs, and my maintenance request were always fulfilled promptly.

Downsides: On occasion, the water would have to be shut off, but this was only ever during the week and during business hours, when most people would not be home. + Some issues with the elevators, but they're are three so at least 1 is operating at all times. Lee mas
