Never respond to inquires
I have been trying to reach for months. Not a single phone call has been returned. The main office says the leasing office will return my phone call in 24 hours and it has been 3 months.

Never responded
I emailed and called this property three times over the course of my apartment search. They have never responded.
I can't imagine what it would be like to actually live there and have an issue that required contacting the front desk. They aren't even willing to respond to potential new renters, what would it be like if they already had my signature on a contract?

Units and area is nice, management and neighbors are not great
Lived here right when it opened. Neighborhood is nice and the units were laid out well with nice appliances and design elements, although the actual living space is TINY. The big issue with this building is the management/office staff...or should I say, lack thereof. There were times when there was no one in the office for an entire week or more - which meant no repairs, no one to help if you locked yourself out (the apt doors are self-locking, so people constantly got locked out when taking... out the trash). 50% of the neighbors were nice - college students, young couples working at non-profits or new to DC, etc. The other half were cramming 4 - 6 people in a 600 sf 1 bedroom, smoking pot all day and loitering in the halls. Packages are left out in the open on the 1st floor, and over the holidays we had every single one stolen. Management didn't seem to care. After dealing with our neighbors smoking pot 24/7 and management not doing anything to assist (it is supposed to be a non smoking/non drug building), we moved out. It's a shame, because that part of DC really needs low income housing and this could be a gem, if it was management properly and basic rules were implemented (ie, cameras in common areas, a front desk being manned during non-office hours, enforcing the no drugs/no smoking, etc).
