I lived here, you don't have to....

They treat for bugs frequently, incompletely, and without resolution. You'll drain your savings trying to finish load of laundry - if more than half of the machines work

Major pest control problems

I lived in a first-floor studio here from 2015-2017. They had major, major, MAJOR pest control problems. I expect some pest control problems living in a city, but this was out of control - imagine cockroaches in your bed, cockroaches in your oven, cockroaches in your couch, cockroaches in your coffee maker, cockroaches in your toaster, cockroaches in your toilet. Truly horrifying. The only pest control measures they took were to spray for cockroaches every six months. I now live in a building... across town, which does actual preventative maintenance to avoid pest control problems - they power wash the basement parking garages and the trash chutes, for example, which makes a big difference.

There were a few other cons - the front desk staff was very kind, but they had only a tangential relationship to building management, and building management didn't keep them apprised of what was going on. I don't know what was happening with the management company, which is based in Friendship Heights, but it took me months and months to get ahold of them when I finally moved out. Additionally, while they say that all utilities are included, they actually charge you a rather hefty monthly fee if you "choose to use air conditioning" in the summers, which is a little alarming.

The one pro is that the studio did have a spacious kitchen separated from the rest of the space. However, it had a peel & stick-type floor which got all torn up before I moved in, and the maintenance staff never fixed it, even after I asked multiple times, and had lived there for two years. I eventually put a rug over it.

Overall, I do not recommend, although the higher floors would probably have fewer pest control problems than the lower ones.
