Excellent place to rent if you can find an opportunity
This is a housing co-op and only a small number of units are allowed to be rented by the owners. They also require a lot of financial information and you need to interview before you can be considered as a tenant.
With that said, if you are able to rent here it is a fantastic place to live. We got a really great deal on a studio apartment and had lovely landlords. It's low stress and repairs happen quickly. The neighbors are all excellent. We met some great friends in the building. There are... lots of older residents and most of them are super interesting people. I highly recommend getting to know your neighbors here.
I think the best part of PPAC is the building staff. They are all genuinely friendly and helpful. The front desk folks remembered me a year later when I accidentally had some mail sent to my old address.
The biggest issue that we had was a prolonged HVAC repair through the building during our stay. That was just bad timing, but the project is over now thankfully.
The building is older and the amenities are pretty basic. The gym is simple but nice enough. The roof deck is really pretty. Bike parking is lacking but I think there were plans to renovate that.
Overall, it was one of my favorite places to live
