Great location and building!
I recently moved into the building and the move in process was fairly easy to navigate. The building itself has been entirely redone and the room layouts are much better and spacious than other larger apartment complexes in the area. The building is still under construction, but so far, I’ve enjoyed every bit of living here and in this neighborhood. Wardell has been very helpful and always reponds to any queries promptly!

Amazing apartment and great service
While the buildings are still being finished, the apartments are stunning. Light, modern and clean with excellent amenities. And our leasing agent, Wardell, has been a great - super responsive, helpful, knowledgeable, and kind.

Great service!
The experience I received from Wordell was impeccable! Very cool dude, who made the virtual experience great. My fiancé & I love what we saw! Transitioning from Georgia isn’t an easy task, especially with our new normal, but to say the least, out of all places we were impressed. He knows his stuff! Thank you for answering every call & email/text. If you’re ever looking for a new place to call home; please ask to have Mr. Gatlin as your agent. You won’t be disappointed. Great guy!

No Frills 1920's Apartment for the right price
The Good: Everybody knows that DC has incredible expensive rent so this apartment gets 4 stars because we are paying $1690.00 for a 2 bedroom each month. Combine that with living with 2 people means $550 a month (very exciting). For normal occupancy, $845 a month is still a great deal in the District.
The apartments low cost does not come with a lack of safety but instead it is located 5 blocks north of East Capitol Street and Eastern Market and about 5 blocks south of H Street.
Management is... largely responsive to reasonable needs.
The Neutral
The building itself is older (circa 1920's) and is seriously no frills. Security is meh with a passcode based entry and no staff but being in a safe neighborhood and having sturdy doors allows us to feel perfectly safe.
Metro stops nearby are Eastern Market and Union Station which are about a 25 and 20 min walk respectively. This would be a deal breaker for many but I bike to work and my girlfriend bikes to the metro so we are largely unaffected.
The Bad
The laundry situation is not great. $2 for each machine use and the basement where the machines are located looks like something from the apocalypse. There are actually Fallout shelter signs all over mixed in with creepy doors and pipes and wires. You get used to it.
There are small cockroaches sometimes; not a big deal for me but could see how this would ruin it.
