Stonehurst Garden

Looks can be very deceiving at first. If you are someone who is new to being on their own at first this apartment looks pretty decent. As soon as we moved in we learned that was absolutely not the case. As soon as summer hit, there started to be an infestation of flies due to a dirty ac filter. Our AC stopped working mid summer which caused us to have swarms of flies coming out of the vent. We were also finding piles of dead flies by our balcony door, which was soon replaced but the problem did… not stop there. It took a week for someone to come out and fix the ac which fixed the problem of them coming in. We were left with a very messy clean up. Attached is a photo of the flies we picked up in just a few hours, not counting the hundreds more that were found dead and that we had to kill. For the next few months things were ok for the most part. Then came the wasps. It started off with one flying in and we thought that was it. That was absolutely not it, for the past few months there have been dead and live wasps all over the apartment. It started in one room and has since just gotten worse. It took a wasp being sat on and being stung in the rear end, and waking up to one on my face for the property manager to finally “fix” the issue. The property manager brought over an exterminator but what did they exterminate? Nothing. As I am writing this directly after we just killed one while trying to eat dinner in our dinning room. I have been living in Stonehurst for 7 months. The heat blows cold. The cold air blows hot. My apartment has become infested (killing and finding about 20 a day) with varieties of flies associated with death and decay (very large flies). I've watch these flies crawl from under the carpet, out of the vent, inside through a crack in the opening of my patio door, and simply piles of dead ones near window sills and where the wall meets the carpet. My apartment was 90 degrees from 3pm-3am last night.… My roommate and girlfriend is pregnant, making this especially unbearable. I feel cheated because I moved in before the hear started decaying whatever is dead. I've been told this issue is isolated to my apartment which is utterly insane that this many rotting-meat flies are only attracted to my unit, despite any clear source of origin or attraction through my apartment. I was then asked to wait all day for maintenance that never showed. I'm just disappointed in my choice to live here at this point. Read More

I just moved here and it is a very serene environment. It is an older structure so everything might not be perfect, but it feels like home and they are very quick to rectify your concerns. Shay, the apartment manager is very friendly and treats you like family. I even had a welcome package when moving in which was so cool! I've only been here a week but love it already!

Nice, small neighborhood with plenty of parking, plenty of shade and a great place for a small family.

I've loved raising my kids here and feel safe letting them play here.

The location is close to grocery stores, movie theaters, a great pizza place, the best rotisserie chicken and a couple of cool bars.

Management has always been super helpful and understanding. You get a phone number to call for maintenance and they show up very promptly.

I'll keep living here. ??
