I have been here since July, I just received my first bill during these cold months and it's nearly $300. I've used similar amounts of electricity in previous months, I even get daily usage notifications to better manage it. The only difference has been the weather and how hard my heat pump has to work to keep my apartment warm. It never goes above 72 and it's kept at 70 consistently. These apartments have horrible insulation. You can feel the cold through the walls and... carpets. Some days I freeze just to try and control how much electricity is being using for my heat pump. And I'm still paying $300. I've never paid this much for electricity in my life, PLEASE....find some place with better insulation or beware of the electricity bill you will incur.
