Poor communication, constantly increasing prices.
My application experience:
After finding the complex online, I scheduled my tour for the next day. Upon completing the tour, the price had already gone up by about $1200/year. Hours after the tour I sent an email through their website expressing my desire to discuss an application and the recent rent increase, requesting a call or email back (they advertised a 24 hour reply window). After two days without a reply, I called them and they would not discuss the price or any terms of the lease,... because the company doesn't allow them to. At the end of the call they notified me that rent had gone up an additional $500/year the previous day.
So, within 48 hours of scheduling the tour, they wanted $1700 more per year. I went ahead and applied, to ensure that I could lock in the price, in case they wanted to increase the price a third time. Six days after I applied, I got an automated message saying I was approved. I expected a call, email or text from their staff, but at NO point did I receive any communication from them. I then sent them an email, communicating that I decided not to sign the lease. After waiting another five days for them to reply, I gave them a call. They denied ever receiving the emails, so I offered to show them the email history audit on THEIR OWN website, but they were not interested in looking at this.. They said they had texted me after I applied, so I asked when & what number they used, but they did not answer the question. They told me three or four times that I "wasn't in trouble"... (what could I have been in trouble for?) They also told me about four times that I would not be getting the $150 deposit back (thank you, but I was not pressing anyone on the issue).
Proceed at your own risk; it seems that this company will squeeze every dime they can out of their tenants.
They are submitting a help desk ticket (regarding their website) to see if I really sent the emails.
