Management Scams Tenants Out Of Security Deposit
This apartment complex is a complete joke. From the moment I moved in, the unit was in terrible shape: cracked countertops, paint dripping down the kitchen cabinets, a gaping hole behind the stovetop, and a broken closet door that barely functioned. This was the condition they gave me the keys to -- and somehow, I'm the one getting charged for "damages" at move-out?
The property manager is completely unresponsive, unprofessional, and clearly doesn't care about the tenants or the condition of... the property. I've contacted her several times and never got a single follow-up. But don't worry -- she will respond when it comes time to nickel-and-dime you. I was told I needed to replace the stovetop drip pans or be charged $35 -- over basic, cheap items anyone would consider normal wear and tear.
The tub and shower? Absolutely disgusting. Instead of replacing anything, the maintenance team just slaps a layer of paint over the old, stained surfaces. It starts peeling with regular use, and then they'll charge you $250 to repaint it again when you leave. Total scam. The property manager Kathy will swindle tenants out of their security deposit completely because tenants do not re-lease.
Oh -- and yes, I saw roaches. I keep my place spotless, so don't even try to blame the tenants. Rent is outrageously overpriced for the run-down, poorly maintained, borderline uninhabitable units they're renting out.
Save yourself the headache and money. This place is a dump and the management is shamelessly exploitative.

HI Sierra, I'm sorry you disagree with the move out condition report, we did not swindle you out of any deposit. We had your tub evaluated by a third party vendor and you admittedly took ownership of not complying with the care instruction for the... tub at your check out. The move out process exists for all residents and we expect the apartment returned to us in the same condition it was given. We wish you all the best with your future endeavors. Kind regards, Kathy
