Windscape Apartments

I had one bike almost stolen, one of the maintenance workers try to cut my bike lock in the middle of the night but luckily my neighbor caught him before he got it. Then my other mountain bike got stolen off my second level balcony. There has been a water leak in my bathroom since I moved in and after many request to fix they still have not done anything. They raise the rent in the middle of the Covid Pandemic, among closing all the pools and the weight room.

I called trying to help with something I wasn't sure I'd be able to, but Miss Madelyn, Summer, and the apartment manager (I wish I got her name) made it happen. It was touching to speak with such kind people. I appreciate their help more than they know.

Staff is a joke, complex is constantly falling apart and broken and EVERYTHING IS YOUR FAULT! Staff blames you for anything and everything. DONT MOVE HERE THEY ARE SCAMMERS CHEATS AND LIARS THIS PLACE IS DISGUSTING AND POORLY RAN

Awful awful place to live, where to start... My car was illigitimately towed without warning. They claimed that my registration tags were expired when in fact they were not. I had to pay $250 to retrieve it (which was from a towing company not listed by management). When we contacted San Mar (the property management group) Rose called back and left a voicemessage stating that they would reimburse me for the fraudulent tow. When I attempted to call them back they denied ever giving that... offer, even though my girlfriend had it on voicemail.

Additionally when we had moved in the carpet was already old, upon moving out we cleaned the carpet meticulously. We cleaned every nook and cranny as well as painted the walls over. They ended up taking our entire deposit, $900 worth, and charging an additional +$2,000. The charged were for "filling holes in walls, painting the apartment, and replacing the carpet" when in fact we never made any holes in the walls or even hung anything. We used command strips in order to avoid charges like that. The carpet was already old when we moved in and had it documented in the move in walk-through. It was cleaned when we moved out than it was when we moved in and they still attempted to charge us for it.

The entire ordeal with San Mar/Windscape felt like a scam. The customer service was horrendous and they tried to take us for all we were worth. AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS Lee mas

So I had moved into this place only to find my car getting towed the second day I was here. Windscape didn't do anything about it which seemed insane since I was parked in my own spot. There were also minor damages all over the apartment when I moved in. There was used carpet when I moved in and they made me pay for it when I moved out and told me they can lower it to 50%, because that's what the lawyer would do (I'm assuming I would have won that case, since they brought that up). Take pictures... of everything when you move in and give them a copy! Another huge thing was the lady downstairs had bed bugs and they got into our apartment. I told the office and was told it would be handled. When they fixed it they charged us $800 which we were unaware of. I was going to hire someone cheaper to do it, but they said they prefer their own people. Another thing is they hired a tow truck to tow 9 cars on the premises, including my fiances. I called Rose from San Mar Management and still have her voicemail saying they would refund us for his car getting towed. Then she changed her mind that we would only get $150. I had called back and she said that we weren't getting anything back. This place is a joke! The place is beautiful, but management sucks. They have hired 2 onsite managers since I lived there which was 18 months. I would never recommend this place to anyone. We had left the place spotless and repainted everything and they charged us for painters and cleaning. It took us 16 hours to stay and clean everything. They also said we had holes that took them 10 min to patch! (WE NEVER HAD HOLES) I used those elastic hooks and they peeled off. San Mar is a SCAM!!! STAY AWAY!!! Lee mas
