Bad. Live elsewhere
I chose to live here as it was a cheaper option to live in Glendale and I'm not all the picky. But I would never choose to live here again.
The building is old, which is fine! The rooms have been nicely renovated, and are decent in that regard. The community laundry and trash are often so gross. not looked after at all. I dread laundry day, having to go down into that gross area. Luckily there is a laundromat a block a way, so would suggest going there. There is no AC, so be prepared to sweat.... Can be okay with some fans etc.
The maintenance people are really kind and thoughtful, however they are stretched so thin that they can only come to the property once a week. Our day was wednesday. So when my power went out and all i needed was to reset the breaker, i had to wait until the next Wednesday for someone to come flip the breaker. Frustrating.
Worst of all, after my lease was up and I went to month-to-month, they told me my rent wouldn't increase unless they gave me 30 days notice. My rent increased and they gave me 0 days notice + started passing on the utilities on to me? None of this was communicated but then I was stuck with the bill. Completely unprofessional mgmt for a place you're already paying too much for. Do better kings and queens!
