Redwoods Apartments

My husband and I moved in during September 2022. Bruce (manager) is absolutely great, he addresses issues right away and maintenance is always on site. we have had no issues of rouches and pests, bottom line is- if you keep your apartment clean you won't have issues. Treat it like your own home. so convenient to everything. Great neighbors, everyone is friendly. Thank God I found this apartment!

Me and my boyfriend moved in on March 1. We were so excited, it being our first place together. Despite being nervous and shy, the property manager (Geraldine) made us feel at home. She is a very sweet lady, even baked us cookies!! Overall, we love the place. There are updated units, which is what we got, everything was brand new. New stove,bathroom, carpet,and the kitchen was remodeled.

Now some of the commentary below seems a bit mad. This place is not invested with roaches. And if I'm being... honest, you will only get roaches if you're dirty. If you leave food out, food on the floor, it is only common sense that you would have issues. I have lived here for 4 months, and I have not seen one roach in my apartment. In other words, if you're dirty, you'll have bug friends. Period. If you're clean, you'll have a lovely home.

We love the court yard, they have picnic tables and bbq pits. Swimming pool is maintained and clean. Price range, it's affordable. Location is good, area is safe and enclosed. Neighbors are friendly and quite. If you're looking for a new home, give Geraldine a call.

Been here two short months and the roach infestation was not disclosed at signing of the lease. Do not rent here!

Nicely kept apartments, remodeled pool, and quiet complex. Apartment manager is quick to respond to problems. Maintenance is quick on any work that needs to be done.

I have lived in the Redwoods Apartments for almost a year now. I share a two bedroom, one bath with a roommate and there is plenty of room; both bedrooms are reasonably sized with large closets; the bathroom is on the smallish size but right outside the door is a closet with deep shelves, it's been perfect storage for everything from small suitcases to toiletries; the living room is a nice size; the kitchen isn't huge but the cupboards are surprisingly deep. The courtyard is very well... maintained! There are BBQ grills and picnic tables, a pool, and a nice sitting area. The parking area is gated with key access to the lot and the building. We are a few short blocks from BART, which is very convenient if you commute to work. The landlord is also very easy to get a hold of, she almost always returns my calls within a few hours. All though the apartment is very nice there are many aspects that I do not care for. One is that the sprinkles run every night; we probably have the greenest grass in the whole neighborhood and we are in the middle of a severe drought. Two is the location. The neighborhood is not the best; it is not uncommon to find trash and other discarded items along the streets, and the police are frequently seen driving around. When I told friends about where I was moving they all gave me a concerned look and told me to keep my doors locked at all times. We are also across from the railroad tracks which can be very noisy, especially if you are a light sleeper. There are very few restaurants, no place to stop and get a quick cup of coffee, and the few local bars are far from safe.
Though my time at the Redwoods has not been miserable, I think that the rent is quite a bit high for the neighborhood and the cons out weigh the pros. Lee mas
