Southwood Apartments

The manager Jim has a really bad attitude and a temper. He sounds really polite on the phone but in person totally different. Something is definitely strange about him.

I made an appointment to view a 1 bedroom apartment here with him at 4:30pm when we arrived infront of the apartment he said he had an emergency. The next day he said we can come at 4:00pm.

When I came I called him but he never answered the phone. Then while waiting infrontof the apartment for him to call back for about 15... minutes a guy with a security uniform asks me who we are here for. He lets me in the apartment complex as he points to Jim who is walking on the second floor. I assumed the guy was a security for the apartment but maybe he was a tenant returning from work.

I saw Jim showing someone a unit and didnt want to interupt so we waited to let him know we were here. When he came out from the unit he was super angery and started yelling at us why we came in for we needed to call him first. I explained that we did call him and someone with a security uniform let us in and pointed to you as the manager. Than he yelled some more. Cant u wait dont you see im showing someone a unit!! Cant u just wait!! We than left after being spoken to so rudely.

We spoke with him politely just to let him know we are here not to rush him to help us immediately so I didnt know why he could not speak to us politely. From his professionalism I can already tell he will be alot of drama. We had no interest in the unit after his temper and id rather not have to speak to someone like that at all.

On a side note the apartment was really quiet and had no children running around when we came in which is nice for someone that doesnt like alot of noise. It is also located in a good area with many food places, banks, gas station, and markets in walking distance. The only reason I can think of why it hasnt already been rented out even though it is priced fairly low for the area is because of the manager Jims lack of professionalism. If you can stomach his attitude I would say its a steal for the location. Lee mas

If you are a single woman or single mother, this apartment manager will love you. He acts like he's doing you a favor if you have bad credit or he gives you half off rent for 2 months to try and make you feel like you owe him something. He also lurks down at women in the pool and takes pictures of them.
