Alexandria Apartments

I have lived here almost 5 years.There is no a/c except in commercial areas.In winter,you have heat whether you want it or not.There are many varied insects and you may write a note to management for an exterminator appointment. They do come quickly,though.During the week,the building is well cleaned and maintained.On the weekend,over extended security people are a point of contact.They help with the frequently broken elevators .As usual,LAPD and LAFD are fast and on the spot.We are about four... blocks from Skid Row. Sadly, the wonderful Two Bits store is now closed. It had wonderful people and excellent food! There is a ceiling fan in kitchenette are,but little ventilation except for windows. Lee mas

My apartment building in downtown Los Angeles has a history. I t once house many celebrities such as fatty article,Greta Garbo,the Barrymore family and Rudolph Valentino. The Alexandria has a prestige like no other. It may not have the same opulence that made it what is was yet there is remarkable Art Deco here along with crown moldings marble flooring a bar,a club,an incredible dining area with the most magnificent ballroom I have ever seen. There may be a few critters that I have heard of but... I never saw or experienced yet. It is very pet friendly and open to tenants of all incomes. There are 13 floors and studio and one bedroom apartments which make the name of the place Alexandria hotel a misnomer.i sing play guitar piano violin harp. Write and create prototypes and it is my dream to be in film or Hollywood . I may never have my dreams come true but I am excited to at least become a part of the historically Hollywood history of living at the Alexandria.i am truly honored to be here. I would not mind finding the perfect place in Hollywood either.either way as a single parent survivor of health and personal matters I am just grateful to have a roof over my head. I just want a place I feel comfortable enough calling HOME. Lee mas
