Termite infestations, flies, mold, rude apathetic staff
We spent three years at the Esprit, and what started as a nice complex quickly went downhill. Termite infestations, flies, mold, broken air conditioning, and elevators that barely functioned became the norm. And while the view is nice, you’ll be looking at it through dirty windows—because they’re rarely, if ever, cleaned.
But the saddest part is how dramatically the management has declined. When we first moved in, the leasing office and front desk staff were professional, courteous, and... genuinely seemed to care. That is no longer the case. It’s clear there’s been a change in management—and not for the better.
Communication is now spotty at best. Calls and emails go unanswered, and when you do get a response, it’s often rude and apathetic, leaving you wondering what exactly you’re paying for. The garage door is frequently broken, and even when it’s operational, break-ins are common. When we raised concerns, Sophia, the manager, made it clear that wasn’t her problem. In fact, nothing seems to be her concern. She appears unqualified and untrained, and hides behind a wall of snide rudeness.
There is zero security—you will get your packages stolen—and the buildings are overrun with short-term Airbnb rentals, creating a constant party atmosphere. Dog urine and waste are everywhere. It’s gross.
Worse yet, management seems to be actively trying to bury the truth. Many of the glowing reviews are clearly pushed by staff during tours or right after move-in, before new tenants discover the building’s real issues. Meanwhile, long-term residents—like many here—are simply telling the truth. Esprit is trying to drown that out with fake five-star reviews.
This is far from a luxury building. You can absolutely find a better home—cleaner, safer, and more professionally managed. Keep looking. This isn’t it.
