here’s what you should know
- they will raise the rent 4% every year, but not put the letter in the mail until 2 days before they legally have to let you know. When I moved, my apartment was listed for $110 less than what they offered me. I also had to ask multiple times for someone to answer what my new rate would be.
- water heating bill is split and often around $50 for a one bedroom, not including the water you use.
- the listing says ac is included but it’s not. They have central ac, but no utilities are included....
- Karen will talk down to you, even if you’re right. Make sure you have your facts down before talking to her and be ready to stand your ground.
- maintenance orders are usually fixed the same or next day.
- the fire alarm goes off sometimes at 2 am.
- the elevator was under maintenance several times when I lived there.
- if the power goes out, the parking is PITCH BLACK
- I often had my slider open and only ever had 2 flies, and one bug bigger than a fly. (I hate bugs but I could live with that) I did however find a hole in the side of my countertop with a trail of ants, but once I plugged the hole, I didn’t have any more ants.
- hardly ever ran into any dogs. They have a few there though.
- this place is expensive, and they keep up on painting, but in the end it’s just a regular apartment just with raised ceilings and crown molding and for me it wasn’t worth the extra money
