Originally from Miami, I grew up in Kendall before moving here in 1993 to go to school at the University of Florida where I studied Biological Engineering. I decided that engineering was not for me and went into the hospitality business where eventually I bought and operated Fat Tuesday in downtown Gainesville. At the same time I bought a share of the Reedy building downtown and is where I got my first taste of real estate. We owned the bar until 2011 when our lease was up, and decided it was time to move on. I married my sweetheart Rachel of 6 years that same year and we have 3 beautiful children Ethan, Ashton and Arden. Since then I have helped my brother Oscar buy and manage investment properties here in Gainesville part time. I also worked full time for Gillen Broadcasting-KISS 105.3 as an account executive until deciding to finally do real estate full time.
