SAVE YOURSELF!!!
I wish someone would’ve saved me from the headache this building has been, so I’m writing this as a warning to anyone considering The Point at Miramar.
This place advertises luxury, but it is far from it. The garage and hallways are consistently dirty and smell. There is only one trash chute for the entire building, which is frequently clogged for days, leaving trash piled up and spilling into the hallway.
Elevators are constantly out of order for days at a time, and the resident garage gate... is often broken, making it easy for anyone to access resident parking.
Communication from management is nonexistent. You find out about policy changes from neighbors instead of directly from management. I learned from another resident that they removed the guest vehicle registration link and are now forcing guests to pay to park. We previously had 14 days per month of free guest registration. That amenity was taken away without proper notice.
They consistently add new fees and update policies with little transparency. There is always something new, and rarely in favor of residents.
I was also locked out of my apartment for nearly three hours with no notice because my fob was disabled. When I was finally given a reason, they blamed prior management and admitted it had happened to other residents. If this was a known issue, there should have been communication. Instead, I was left waiting in the hallway to access my own home.
When you raise concerns, expect deflection and even legal threats instead of accountability. Management avoids responsibility and shifts blame onto residents.
For the amount of rent charged, it is not worth the stress. You can find better properties at similar prices.
I will NOT be renewing and would NOT recommend this property to anyone, not even my worst enemy.
