Lakeside Villas

I was approved then denied but before I was denied they took my security deposit. Under Louisiana law (La. R.S. 9:3251), security deposit refunds are required to be returned within 30 days of lease termination. My denial date was 12/2/2025 and I’m writing this on 1/20/2026.. I shouldn’t have to keep emailing management about my funds, this apartment complex should be ashamed for there bad business and poor management communication

Honestly it’s not too bad. It’s all about your level of what you can deal with. The fees you pay you don’t benefit for amities. There’s two pools and one is going to be dirty. By the time the one that’s dirty gets cleaned the other is now dirty ready to be clean. And it goes back and forth between the two. There’s two club houses. The one in the back you can’t use. Why?. Don’t really know they just make sure you know you cannot use it. & it’s a pretty good looking club house. The one in the... front by the office you have to make a reservation or something it’s usual events going on up there. Idk. Gym, I wouldn’t even call it that there’s like 3 options to use in there. It has a weird smell. Trash is always overflowed. Dog poop is always everywhere despite the complex having dog baggy stations throughout the complex. Dog owners are just lazy & nasty. Front gate always out I don’t think I’ve seen a whole week go by and nothing was wrong with the gate. Now I will say office was available when needed. When you put in a maintenance request it will be done by next day. They are really fast with that. Also keep in mind never had a major issue just little things. PARKING!. Omg parking sucks. After 5 pm just know there is no parking . You will be parking a building or two down from your apartment. I’ve never seen an area where there was never any parking available. Now you can pay to get a reserved parking spot but that just another thing they tryna have you pay for . You supposed to be living in a gated community & you don’t even have anywhere to park. Noise?, never really had any noise problems. Overall it was cool. For the price you pay you would expect more. Lee mas

Management sucks, trash overflows, dog poop on sidewalks, gate always stuck open, never can get in touch with management, homeless man chased me to my apartment!! So unsafe so loud so DIRTYYYYY. Gym has no AC and barely any equipment.

Overpriced for the quality you receive. Apartment floors are ugly. Terrible apartment layout. Parking is terrible at night. Gate seldom works. On top of that Baton Rouge is a terrible city as well.

Trash is a major issue, especially for those who live near the dumpsters. The gate always malfunction, which concerns many residents.
Most importantly, several residents throughout the community, including my vehicle was broken into. There are CONSTANT CAR BREAK-INS with no recourse from Lakeside Villas.
