Independence Green

we moved here in September of 2025, it was our first apartment and last experience at independence green. Management is terrible with communication, maintenance NEVER SHOWS UP I’ve put in multiple requests and they will come weeks later . When we first moved our tub had a clogged issue and there was paint torn off of it . It looked disgusting to even bathe in. They will wait until the day rent is due to put your utility payment on there. Rent is overpriced for sure especially for our LITTLE one... bedroom that’s not even half the size of a school classroom, there are random unnecessary charges that just makes the bill look overly expensive. They don’t answer the phone in the office and when they do your problem is never solved or they’ll tell you to just call back the next day. Our sink was leaking in the kitchen when we first moved like they did a rush job in our entire apartment . The dryer makes a squeaky noise that will never be fixed . I could go on and on . Saving someone the trouble cause it may look nice but it’s not all lollipops and rainbows :) Lee mas

Independence Green is the worst apartment complex I have ever had to deal with.

Maintenance time response is AWFUL! I went all of July without working air conditioning, with 3 young children living in the unit. Further, I went another 2 months from October through November without a working washer and dryer. When you put work orders in, the maintenance staff closes them without actual work or results. Very disappointing and frustrating.

I've voiced my concerns with the leasing office and... they refused to do anything to be accommodating. At the end of the my recent lease, I was charged an additional $1,000 with the leasing office noting its 60 day notice of vacating penalty (I was mere days within the 60 day window to notify) and instead of being accommodating after being a good tenant, management and the leasing office has failed to refund me my money or to respond to my reasonable requests.

As soon as I was aware of the situation and saw that the money had been withdrawn from my account, I went to the leasing office and explained the misunderstanding, they tell me there is nothing that they can do and that I can send an email to them, and they would “forward it to corporate.” Present day, I have yet to receive a response from corporate and my security deposit was also withheld. Independence Green is 0/10 and I highly recommended and advise that this place is not a good place to live and the management and leasing offices are unreasonable and have continuously failed to provide fair and equitable treatment and living accommodations. I'm not one to post reviews, but I feel strongly that others read an honest review regarding Independence Green in hopes to save you the strife. Lee mas

Extremely rude. You can’t even call to ask questions without someone picking up with an attitude. I will be filing a complaint with corporate you never know who’s on the other side of the phone!

small apartment sizes and pricey, can get more with lesser price.

We have lived here since July of 2023 we sold our home to move closer to the city and family. You're probably at the window shopping faze looking at the great amenities the "great price" for the area and what seems to be a quiet community and brushing off the complaints due to the 3.4 star rating here which is 1-2 stars on most other websites. Here are the bullet points of what we've experienced.

-Ceiling leaks cause massive amounts of water to enter the apartment. The leak was addressed but... all they did was spackle over the already wet dry wall

-Mushrooms growing through the paint.

-Mold inside our A/C unit.

-Sunday funday burnouts that lasted for hours with a 40+ person party in our parking lot.

-We have colleagues that started leasing another unit at the same time as us. They were without heat for 2 MONTHS in the winter along with several other units in the complex

-lastly after all of the fees your rent should be expected to be $200 more per month than the base rent. You will get absurd utility charges even if you don't use your apartment for a full month.
