Pros:
1. RENT
Rent is cheap. That's an obvious pro in this economy lol
2. NEIGHBORS
It is quiet. Most of the tenants are around are very polite and we never once had any issues with noise.
3. AREA
It is a nice area to live. Safe, quiet and easy access to the highway and many shops within walking distance.
4. SEMI-GOOD UNITS.
Spacious living areas, long closets. Extremely limited counter space, very small kitchen. Normal... sized shower, small bathroom.
5. MAINTENANCE
Maintenance is quick and efficient.
Cons:
1. IFFY PROPERTY MANAGEMENT AND CORPORATE.
In short, the property manager can be very rude and confrontational once you move in. Being accused of things, fees being thrown around. She was very kind in the beginning, I'm not entirely sure exactly when/where/why the change happened.
2. FEES AND ACCUSATIONS.
This one's the long one, so buckle up lol
We have been blamed for water overages, clogging the ENTIRE water system, dog waste, etc etc. Just recently, they did a surprise apartment inspection and within 5 minutes, they left and told us that corporate would be charging us for overage. One of us had just flushed the toilet quite literally as they knocked on the door so the excuse they used was the toilet was running. Danielle even mentioned that the reason they saved us for last was because they 'knew' we were the actual problem. This specific building just got 3 maybe 4 new tenants, and they are apparently appalled that the water meters are showing double the usage recently ??.
There was a very very bad issue of us being blamed for all of the animal waste on the property. We have a little dog, a miniature dachshund, and even the biggest waste is apparently all ours. I will admit once maybe twice it wasn't technically picked up, and my husband as well but ONLY because I couldn't for the life of me find the waste, and I assure you I looked for nearly 10 minutes. Same thing for him. The property manager threatened us with fines multiple times because of this. We tried explaining this but it ended up with very a demeaning tone about how over half the property has proof that neither one of us were EVER picking up waste? Videos, pictures, camera footage?? Sadly, the fees and accusations are not only happening with us. We are personally friends with many of our neighbors, new and old and this happens to almost everyone.
