Turned 83 on Dec 6; received Lease NON-Renewal notice Dec 26.....
To whom it may concern:
“It’s about you,” says their motto.
On Dec 6, I turned 83. On Dec 26, they sent me a Lease NON-RENEWAL notice. Interesting!
I am a retired Fortune 500 engineer, sales and marketing manager, and a 6-year AES tenant with a spotless record of 100% on-time payments and no violations. For the last 15+ years, I have maintained an exceptional record of 100% on-time in all categories – rent, utilities, loans, credit cards, etc. FICO Score notes my record as EXCEPTIONAL.
My... current management team, as well as the previous one of 28 years in Burbank, has noted that my apartments have been the cleanest and most beautiful in the complex. The Burbank management used my live-in unit as a Showcase Apartment on several occasions.
I challenged their decision to non-renew, which is grossly unfair, but completely legal under Nevada law. I did that with a 21-page rebuttal and an illustrated flash drive.
Corporate management sent me a letter stating that it’s NOT about me personally, and that they just want their apartment back.
Actually, what Corporate Management really wants is to have a quality tenant – like me – but NOT me – living in my apartment.
According to the Vacancy Chart in the Assistant Manager’s Office, their Vacancy Rate is 15% compared to the Las Vegas 10% average, while their goal is 5%. Their actions regarding my tenancy completely CONTRADICT their claims!
“We create better living,” is their new motto.
