Unturhtful Property Management
My garbage disposal stopped working about two weeks ago. I didn’t make a big deal out of it. I tried to reset it, but that didn’t work, so I submitted a work order since maintenance was already scheduled to come by anyway.
While cleaning the sink, a bottle cap from a beer I had earlier must have fallen into the disposal.
Maintenance later claimed they came to the unit. They did not. I was home. After calling and being given the runaround, I contacted the town. Shortly after that, someone... finally showed up to “fix” the garbage disposal and attempted to place the blame on me.
What they did not know is that the kitchen camera captured the bottle cap falling into the sink.
Whether it is the lie about the deposit (recorded), the lie about fixing the holes in the window frame (recorded), or the lie about repairing the lifting floor near the entryway (recorded), there has been a consistent pattern of false statements and manufactured explanations used to excuse unresolved issues in the unit.
At one point, the bedroom ceiling was actively leaking, and no one responded. Water was allowed to leak into the bedroom for 12 hours without any intervention.
I would not recommend this property unless you are willing to remain silent, allow management to lie without accountability, and accept that reasonable attempts at resolution may be mischaracterized as aggression.
Property management repeatedly reframes its own failures as tenant unreasonableness, relying on stereotypes rather than addressing documented maintenance deficiencies.
