Jeanne Marie Gardens Apartamentos

This used to be a wonderful place to live where no advertising was required because tenants all recommended their friends and family. The new management is trying to sprinkle glitter everywhere in order to raise prices, but they can hardly keep documentation in order. They've lost leases, the maintenance ticket system has been down multiple times, they say they need to come in to assess the apartment with no notice. They refuse to fix anything unless it could be legally held against them. They... treat their wonderful maintenance men poorly (I get why some left). They promised to give tenants heaters for the bathrooms over 2 years ago and still nothing last I heard. They made tenants responsible for heat but the drafts are ridiculous. They are penny pinching, charging for things that older tenants used to get free. Another beautiful place turned to over-priced crap because of greed. No longer a diamond in the rough by any means. To piggy back off of another review, this use to be a great complex. However after getting bought out by a new management company- they really ruined quality of life for residents. All utilities are electric and we have an electric bill of upward $500 every month. The windows are poor quality but we can’t afford to have the heat high. We are always cold. And to top it off, we have had hot water issues for over a year and it never seems to be permanently fixed. Since new owners took over in 2021 this is a horrible place to live. Grounds are unkept, laundry machines always out of order. But the worst is we are freezing. New owners replaced gas heat with inadequate electric heaters that we now have to pay for. Spending 300 dollars a month and still freezing. No heat in bathroom or kitchen. They are concerned about putting in a pool and gym. How about some heat people! Leaving asap

Plan on your rent going up by 3% yearly. That's $53 last year and $63 this year. The new owners put in electric heaters that do not heat the entire apt. And also now the tenant has to pay for it. They are planning on also putting in electric stove/ovens to pass the cost onto the tenants. Greedy people.

I lived at Jeanne Marie Gardens from the time I was a baby until I was 10 years old. I loved living here. Some of my best and favorite childhood memories are from living here. It’s an incredible place to raise a family. I honestly miss living here. Jeanne Marie Gardens is easily the nicest apartment complex in Nanuet.
