Velencia - Upscale Lofts On Midtown Trail

My wife and I loved living at Velencia for the past year and will truly miss living there. These open-concept remodeled units are filled with moderne touches without completely doing away with the 1930's feel. The restored hardwood flooring, exposed red brick walls and oversized windows in our unit made it feel so magical. We loved having a grill and patio area to enjoy summer nights. Having the trail that connects to the Gathering place was perfect for runs and walking out dog. The units are... conveniently located to Downtown, Cherry Street, Riverside, Woodward Park, and the Gathering Place. We also had a great experience with the management team. I had the honor of being Velencia's first tenant back in September of 2020 and departed October 2021 (13 months in the same unit), and throughout my time there, the property owners took exceptionally good care of me as I "beta-tested" the newly refurbished apartment complex, and for that reason, I'm happy to leave Velencia a 5-star review. A few things I loved about living there:

**Walkable Location**
It's a 1-minute walk from the Midland Trail (great for saying "hello" and "good morning" to... the smiling faces of the most wonderful souls you'll encounter in Tulsa).

You're an 8-min walk to Burn-Co BBQ, FarmBar, and a bunch of other lovely non-chain restaurants

If you're feeling adventurous, it's a 25 min walk to Utica Square–home to more delicious restaurants and shops.

There are lots of parks nearby if you've got a fur-buddy.

**Short Drive From**
Downtown, The Arts District, Brookside, Kendall-Whittier, and all the other fun neighborhoods in Tulsa.

The major freeways/highways are probably no more than an 8-min drive away.

**Inside the Unit**
Gosh, if you're lucky enough to score a top-floor unit like I did, the sound of the rain on the rooftop was soooo soothing (see attached video).

On that note of top-floor, the sunset views were always a nice way to wrap the day.

Endless hot water. If you've ever lived somewhere cold in the winter, warm showers are the best way to defrost.

AC/Heater unit was a lifesaver after a long run or to keep the place cozy during the colder months. I think the insulation was pretty solid as the place didn't really get too cold during December-March.

The in-unit washer/dryer units were excellent. If/when I buy a home again, I know which ones I'm buying.

**Options**
If you're a nomad like myself, traveling light means freedom. The owners let me take the furnished model unit and we negotiated a reasonable price so that I could rent the furniture from the model unit for my entire stay.

**Everything Else**
The neighbors in my building were some of the best, ever. We all looked out for each other, helped when we could, were mindful of the noise we made.

It's a small complex so you're not living with 100-200 other people. I love people, however, I love "cozy" more than anything.

**The Take Away**
If you enjoy long walks, eating out at restaurants, and tend to keep a friendly, yet low profile, Velencia might be the right home for you! Lee mas

Very happy with my apartment here. I wanted to avoid a large complex, and Velencia was the perfect fit. The buildings are cool, the finishes are nice and modern, and it's a fantastic location. Also, the management is A+. Issues are addressed quickly, communication is easy.

I love living at Velencia apartments. The lofts are very spacious, with modern decor/appliances, beautiful original hardwood floors, large windows to let natural light in and the location is great for downtown Tulsa, Brookside, The Gathering Place, or walk the river path.
